Have PR Prowess?

Impact PR is Hiring

You have a choice of where you work. Choose carefully.

At Impact PR & Communications, we have four values that sum us up.
They guide our work ethic and are the basis for decisions about who we work with (and who works with us). We:

• Collaborate and Communicate.

• Put People First.

• Act with Integrity, Always.

• Look Forward, Think Forward.

We like to think we do things differently at our public relations and marketing agency.  A completely virtual agency model (we embraced the remote world long before the pandemic), we have deep roots in the Hudson Valley region and, in addition to New Yorkers, have team members based in Connecticut and New Jersey. We value track records over time in seats, outcomes over rules, kindness over egos, relationships over transactions and think that it’s 100% possible to do work that’s fierce, but to do it with a smile.

Our client roster includes well-known national consumer brands, real estate and construction power players, banks and financial services firms, mission-driven nonprofits and more. We do work we’re proud of – and in ways we feel good about. For instance, Impact PR was awarded the gold Stevie Award for Women in Business as a Top Women-Run Workplace of the Year, a global recognition, and has gotten kudos year after year for its creative PR campaigns

Enough about us…. Let’s talk about YOU.

As Impact PR continues to grow in size and service, the firm is hiring an account executive/senior account executive.

Are you a fit?

What you’ll have:

  • Three-plus years of PR experience, ideally at an agency, or through a similar in-house communications role.
  • A proven track record of securing media placements.
  • Sharp AP style writing skills, from short pitches to long-form articles.
  • A passion for PR and storytelling.
  • A strategic, results-driven mindset.
  • Creative chops.
  • A commitment to superior client service.
  • A resourceful, flexible, problem-solving nature – and desire to be accountable.
  • A nose for news – what’s trending and what makes headlines.
  • Serious social media smarts.
  • A knack for building relationships of all kinds.
  • A love of the details – you work fast, but sweat the small stuff.
  • A deep curiosity and yearning for learning.
  • A desire to make an impact through your work and in your community.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit – you are motivated from within, but like a good high five every now and again.

New York/New Jersey/Connecticut candidates are preferred, but all are welcome to apply.

What you’ll do:

  • Work with our account team to develop and support client strategies, implement PR campaigns, create content and spearhead social media.
  • Connect regularly with clients and the media, by phone, email, video chats and in-person.
  • Share fresh media opportunities and secured placements with clients.
  • Oversee media list development using the latest technology coupled with old-fashioned research skills and resourcefulness.
  • Brainstorm ideas and pitch stories.
  • Craft press releases, media advisories and other materials.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of social/digital campaigns, including suggesting ideas, for clients and the agency.
  • Research, propose and follow through with suitable opportunities for awards, strategic alliances, seminars and speaking engagements for clients.
  • Promote, attend and assist in client event management, including press conferences and promotional events.
  • Contribute to and edit client activity reports.
  • Participate in continuous learning through professional trade organizations, seminars, conferences and meetings.
  • Take part in team meetings and build relationships with colleagues at all levels.

What we offer:

  • A competitive salary and compensation package (medical/dental/vision/long-term disability/life insurance).
  • A 40-hour work week.
  • Quarterly technology stipend.
  • SIMPLE IRA with company match.
  • Quarterly profit-sharing plan based on company performance.
  • A work-where-you-work-best philosophy.
  • Quarterly coworking days and celebrations.
  • Flexible vacation and personal time policies.
  • Summer Fridays and a week-plus of paid time off for the December holidays.
  • Team building activities and laugh-filled lunches.
  • A positive work environment, where communication, creativity and candid feedback are encouraged.
  • Commitment to work-life balance.
  • Ability to take part in community activities, through sponsorships and service.
  • Ongoing professional development.
  • A team that genuinely cares about one another and celebrates wins together.
  • Clients we respect and admire (really!).
