What are your favorite aspects of the PR industry?

My favorite aspect of the PR industry is telling stories. Whether it’s sharing news around a recent achievement, anniversary or expansion, highlighting a business’ or individual’s area of expertise, or creatively sharing content on social media, I love thoughtfully connecting people, places and ideas with others.

I also enjoy the challenges associated with public relations. There’s nothing more rewarding than pitching an idea to a publication and then earning, or securing, a placement. That kind of excitement never gets old!

What do you love about Impact PR?

My favorite thing about Impact PR is the company culture – I have never been in such a supportive work environment. It’s so comforting to know that each team member has my back and wants me to succeed.

I also love the flexibility of our office model. I’ve had the privilege to work from Florence, Italy, and all over the U.S. – New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New Mexico…the list goes on and on!

What are you most looking forward to in your new role?

I’m excited to further master my writing, pitching and media relations skills, among others, and to continue to grow with our agency. I’ve learned so much since starting at Impact, but I know that I have a long way to go.

I’m also eager to work more directly with our clients and the media. It’s so gratifying to help clients reach their goals, and it’s even more rewarding when those results are earned, not paid for.

When you’re not dominating the PR industry, how do you unwind?

I love spending time outside, exploring antique stores, or going to a farmers’ market and then making a home-cooked meal (bonus points if the meal is fresh pasta and homemade sauce, with Jersey tomatoes, of course!).

What advice would you give to aspiring young professionals?

Don’t be afraid to ask questions! The people around you have more experience than you can imagine, and they’ve been exactly where you are. In my experience, asking questions is the easiest way to learn, grow and move forward.
