So nice, we hired her twice! Did you hear the news? Alli Long, who interned with Impact PR & Communications while attending Marist College, is back – but this time as an Account Executive and we’re thrilled to have her back on the team. Join us in welcoming Alli and read on to get to know her a little better.
How would you describe yourself in three words?
Creative, good-listener, quick-learner.
What are you most excited about in your new role at Impact?
As a writer at heart, I’m most excited to help clients tell their stories. I love getting to showcase their values and accomplishments to the community.
Tell us one thing about yourself that would surprise us?
I’m a diehard football fan! I love the New York Giants, but I’m also into fantasy football. I’ve won two championships in the last six years.
What is your favorite kind of food?
Italian. I could live on pasta alone!
Who is your role model and why?
My parents are my role models for so many reasons. My dad is one of the hardest workers I know, and he puts his heart into everything he does. My mom is tough as nails, and she’s also funny and loyal and kind. I feel so lucky to have been raised by such incredible people.
What are your favorite Hudson Valley hotspots?
For good eats, I love Lola’s in Poughkeepsie and Terrapin in Rhinebeck. In the late summer and fall, I love going to DuBois Orchards for apple picking, apple cider donuts, and other farm fresh goodies!
Favorite magazine or publication to read?
I love reading literary magazines, like the Paris Review and the New Yorker.
What is your favorite thing about the PR/Communications industry?
My favorite thing about the industry is that at the heart of it, we’re working to help others have a positive impact in their community.
What are your must-haves (i.e. tech tools, apps, desk items etc.) for working remotely?
This sounds strange, but a timer! I set it when I start work on a project and try to get as much done as I can before it goes off. It helps keep me focused, and also reminds me when it’s time to step away and take a well-earned break.
