We’re always on the hunt for incredible talent and, lucky for us, we’ve had the pleasure of working with local college students to join us for internship experiences over the last several years.
Just in time for our next spotlight series, where you meet us, the dedicated team at Impact, we’re ready to announce our newest intern/PR assistant, Jessica Jaeb. Want to get to know Jessica a little bit better? Keep reading on!
How would you describe yourself in three words?
Compassionate, driven, and optimistic.
What are you most excited about in your new role at Impact?
I am most excited about the opportunity to learn more about the industry from such a passionate and kind group of women!
Tell us one thing about yourself that would surprise us?
I have a brown belt in Isshinryu karate.
What is your favorite kind of food?
Anything my mom cooks, especially her Chicken Italiano!
Who is your role model and why?
One of my role models is my grandpa, Bebop. He is such a compassionate and dedicated person who brightens any room he walks in to. He has taught me to believe in myself and to always chase my dreams.
What are your favorite Hudson Valley hotspots?
As a lifelong Hudson Valley resident, I have so many! Some of my favorites would have to be the Daily Planet in Lagrange, Vanderbilt Mansion in Hyde Park, and the Hyde Park Drive-In Theatre. I also love to grab a bite at Lola’s in Poughkeepsie after going to the Walkway Over the Hudson.
Favorite magazine or publication?
Growing up, my family would always get the Poughkeepsie Journal on Sundays. While I gravitated towards the comics back then, I now enjoy reading to keep up on local news and events.
What are you most looking forward to learning?
I am eager to learn more about media relations and pitching. This is something I have some experience with but look forward to diving deeper into!
