#MeetTheTeam: Impact Welcomes Kayla Hannemann

September 29, 2022

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! No, not quite the holiday season, but school is back in session – and for us that means it’s time to welcome our incredible Fall 2022 intern, Kayla Hannemann to our team! Read on to get the full scoop on Kayla, who is currently a full-time student at Marist College.

How would you describe yourself in three words?

Resilient. Adventurous. Organized.

What are you most excited about in your new role at Impact?

I am most excited about working with the other team members at Impact. I think that I will be able to learn a lot about the PR industry because of the team’s diverse backgrounds.

Tell us one thing about yourself that would surprise us?

At only 21 years old, I’ve traveled to 17 countries and 31 U.S. states!

What is your favorite kind of food?

I love breakfast foods— pancakes, french toast, waffles— you name it!

Who is your role model and why?

It’s hard to choose just one, so I have to go with my parents. My dad is the most dedicated worker that I have ever met, which I strive to emulate. My mom has always said that her number one goal in life is to be happy, which I too feel is one of the most important things.

What are your favorite Hudson Valley hotspots?

A few of my favorite Hudson Valley hotspots include Sunday morning farmers’ markets in Rhinebeck or Beacon, Kelly’s Bakery in Poughkeepsie, Hudson Taco in Newburgh, and GioBatta in Tivoli.

Favorite magazine or publication?

I am a longtime fan of The New York Times. I find their stories to be reliable and topical and am a big fan of their articles relating to cooking— brussel sprouts and gnocchi is my favorite recipe from them.

What are you most looking forward to learning?

I am looking forward to learning more about client relations. While I have had opportunities to sit in on client calls in the past, I would like to learn more about the nitty gritty aspects of the relationship.
